After watching the documentary, I found it most noteworthy to learn what exactly they do with our personal information such as location, media usage patterns, etc. I was previously aware of data being tracked but never really knew why our data was being taken or for what use it was being put to. I think it's both fascinating and terrifying how they are using our data to create models of human behaviour as a result of our online actions, predicting our likelihood of acting on different things. 
2) The use of my personal information to manipulate my behaviour makes me fascinated by the progression of technology. I find very invasive, however am intrigued by our information being used as somewhat of a marketing and advertisement strategy. Corporations and companies robbing individuals of privacy could be compared to putting somebody  with sunglasses on in a dark laser tag room with no gun--that person will lose no matter what. It made me feel absolutely horrified and violated at the rate at which companies are developing products from data that has been robbed from people, only to find out those products are developed to steal more data and violate more privacy. I just thought it was based off of what you look up and your search history .

2) the idea of using my information to manipulate my behaviour is crazy and unsettling because to me having big companies know everything about you just from listening to you though the devices we carry around and the devices that we have in our homes . Also I try to keep my social media private and not have a lot of personal things on it but then what’s the point if every device is already listening and taking my information without me really knowing what it’s picking up from what I’m saying . It’s also crazy because within a couple seconds of you talking about something you could then go on your phone or device and seeing a ad that is related to the topic you where talking about...

The algorithms and data set in place to collect personal information is unreal!

2) The fact that my information is used to manipulate my behaviour makes me feel very uneasy. One example of this is on TikTok. I am aware that TikTok invades my privacy because the amount of videos that are incredibly specific to me or conversations I have just had. Yet, I continue to use the app anyway. TikTok shows the the opinions of others which I have never considered and that sometimes makes changes within my day to day life. The opinions I have gained aren't evil or anything like that, but it is frightening to think about what it could produce.

This crosses a boundary into our personal lives and it should not be capable of doing that. I was also surprised that Google Nest has hidden microphones that they do not inform the public about. It shows how secretive companies try to be with the way they collect data.

2) I feel scared that information is used to manipulate my behaviour. We give so much more information than we are even aware of, and it makes me want to be more cautious about how I use the Internet. I think that's absolutely crazy that a big company like like Google felt the need to track children's every move. With todays society I typically think that we have a lot of freedom in general. We have access to the answer to every question that we could ever think of thanks to google, women are aloud to vote, we can make most of our decisions for ourselves. But when I watched this documentary i wound out that may not be the case. It seems that so many companies and things in out life are constantly tracking us and gathering information on us.
