Example description: This image, from a few years back became very important to me. It appeared before a big life transformation and gave me faith that I had the strength within me to go through this change. Looking back I see the heat in the vessel building up, ready for this change in my life, as well as the birth of a new potential (the egg). The woman represents a spiritual aspect. The two cats are my guides and protectors in the journey.

I didn’t have to search for meaning—symbols just came, and I knew they were true. This piece reminded me that my inner guide speaks in images and quiet feelings. When I slow down and listen, I find exactly what I need.

Warm Winds Dancer: I’m impatient. My windy breath is sometimes warm. I fan the life inside the seed. I bring it into form. Sometimes I’m furious, other times gentle. Always moving. Sometimes warm, sometimes cold. 

Sometimes I become a curious red fox, trotting along the bank. Sometimes a red-tailed hawk; sometimes a wet storm cloud full of wind.

Lake: Yes, and you fill my depths with the rain you bring so I can dream the seeds into form.

The dream was very powerful as it wanted me to remember it….

in the painting the eyes are both scary, energetic and protective. The central symbol between the eyes is like a weapon in some ancient cultures and myths so made me question and curious about the deeper meaning of these symbols.

To me it feels as though my dreams try to relay higher wisdom and art silently tries to show me what my mind can’t comprehend. I now keep a dream art journal where I also get creative with different styles of drawing, painting and collage.
