Hi! My Name is Emmanuel James D. Alberca. I like to spend my time playing video games and playing volleyball outside. My hobbies include cooking food for my friends and hanging out with people. I enjoy watching and listening to horror/thriller/horror films and podcasts. I get excited about solving problems/puzzles, I am quite a shy person but I am very friendly once I get excited.

Many of the songs I listen to right now are OPM like "Pano" by Zack Tabudio, "Paraluman" by Adie, and many more. This is because the lyrics they portray are quite beautiful and they have good beats as well. I also have taken an interest in the Visual arts made by Filipinos, because of how creative Filipinos are and to see the things that they see conveyed through their art are beautiful and touching, It is because you get to see the dedication and hard work they've done to create such artworks like the "Spoliarium" by Juan Luna.

Tagalog Vocaloids

These Tagalog Vocaloid songs are songs that are very upbeat but with some twist because most of the lyrics are quite sad and sometimes very dark because they try to relate to the dark sides of some situations, like "Ang Cariñosa" which shows a dark path for someone to take when they have been cheated with by the person they loved, or "Nakakapagpabagabag" which shows how prideful a person can be when they have proved that they are right even though they will all suffer. Most of these usually target impressionable teens or adults because most of these actions are shown to be extreme and a little bit immature. But it also shows that there are problems that can be exploited by us Filipinos which are our sensitive pride and sometimes our crazy obsession with things/people.

And using the Uses and Gratifications Theory. The reason why people consume this kind of music is because it's; Very Upbeat, and the melody gives it a very positive vibe, But it also resonates with many Filipinos with the deep lyrics it has, It also gives us a Personal Identity Reinforcement because of the use of Tagalog Language and the use of the common traits that most of us have, resonates with us, And it also gives some listeners sense of Relaxation and Stress Relief because of the consistent repeating sounds.
