He good not defend the Gods and Shakti decided his son would be the best warrior to defend them. She created a new form for herself in order to seduce Shiva, and that new goddess was Parvati. Parvati spent her life trying to win the love of Shiva but was not successful. She left to live in the forest to fully immerse herself in the ascetic life and impress Shiva. After her success, she was given the gift of beauty and won the heart of Shiva. </div>]]></description>
