AlamoPROMISE is open to students recently graduating from public, private, charter, and home school high school programs in Bexar County.

Students must:

• Graduate from a high school in Bexar County and/or live in Bexar County

• Be eligible to complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

• Be accepted to one of the five Alamo Community Colleges in town (Palo Alto College, Northwest Vista College, Northeast Lakeview College, San Antonio College, St. Philip's College).

The student must be a Texas Resident, a full-time student enrolled at the university AND meet one of the following requirements:

1. Top 10% of graduating senior class

2. Top 35% of graduating senior class AND has a family Adjusted Gross Income of $75,000 or less.

• Must submit a FAFSA application

• Must complete a FAFSA by the deadline of May 1st annually and be PELL Grant eligible

• Must maintain a 2.5 GPA

• Must complete 15 semester credit hours each fall and spring semester at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi

• Texas resident students whose Family Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) is $125,000 or less

You may qualify for Islander Guarantee for eight consecutive fall and spring semesters if you continue to meet the above-mentioned criteria and are working toward your first undergraduate degree.

To be eligible for the Bobcat Promise, you must:

• Be an entering first-time freshman (transfer students are not eligible)

• Be a Texas resident

• Have a FAFSA income of $50,000 or less

• Complete at least 15 credit hours (excluding CLEP and AP courses) each fall and spring semester

• Apply and be accepted for admission, as well as submit a completed Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), no later than April 15 prior to the upcoming academic year

• Have financial need as demonstrated by the FAFSA

• Be a Texas resident at the time of admission.

• Be admitted by May 1 to UT Dallas for the fall semester as a first-time college student pursuing their first bachelor’s degree.

• Submit a completed FAFSA application with supporting documents to the Office of Financial Aid by May 1st.

• Have a family income of $65,000 or less.

• Have demonstrated financial need as determined by information provided on the FAFSA.

• Be enrolled at least three-quarter time at UT Dallas.

Tuition support grants range from $500 to $1,500 and are based on income and financial need.

To qualify:

Undergraduate Texas residents whose family income and assets are less than $60,000 or less. Tuition support grant amounts may be offered to undergraduate students whose family income is greater than $60,000 but no more than $130,000.

The student must meet the following requirements:

​2. Enroll in 9 credit hours each semester while pursuing a Bachelor's Degree

​3. Submit the ​2026-2027 FAFSA​ by May 1, 2026 (This financial aid application is expected to open on October 1)

​4. Admitted to UTEP

6. For renewal, maintain a 2.0 gpa and have completed 21 credit hours within the academic year (fall/spring/summer), and remain in good standing.

The Perspectives Overnight Program is designed for high school seniors who may face barriers to affording a visit to campus—such as limited financial resources, attendance at rural or urban Title I schools, or being among the first in their family (excluding siblings) to attend college.  All students with a genuine interest in Holy Cross are encouraged to apply, regardless of demographic background or financial circumstances.

This program is a key part of the College’s commitment to fostering access and opportunity. Our mission is to support students who have shown strong academic potential, a dedication to service, and a deep interest in the Jesuit values that define the Holy Cross experience. Participants will stay overnight at a local hotel with their guest (who must be 25+ years old), and have the opportunity to connect with current students on campus, experience campus life firsthand, and gain a deeper understanding of the vibrant and supportive Holy Cross community. 

Our free, all-access open house, Aggieland Saturday by the Sea, is an immersive event, offering you a 360º introduction to Texas A&M’s island campus, including: 

• Information sessions about the admissions process, financial aid and student life; 

• An intro to the Texas A&M Maritime Academy, the Corps of Cadets, professional maritime license options and programs;

• Visit research labs and training simulators and tour the new 524-foot state-of-the-art training vessel, Lone Star State; 

• Go aboard one of our research vessels, Trident or Earl L. Milan, and explore the Galveston Bay and surrounding coastal ecosystem and maritime industry where students live, learn and work;
