Situation:
Animal testing has been widely used for bio-technology development in decades. As most of the human think that animals are not precious than human, so they choose animals as priority in safety testing of products, scientific understanding, medical and treatment purposes. According to Rowan (1997), it has been estimated that almost 70 million of animals were hurt and killed in the name of science by government agencies, scientific centers, educational institutions, cosmetics companies in one year.

Task: 

Representatives of each sector to discuss this issue.

1.       Religious perspective, religious representative (partial)
2.       Medical perspective, Science / Medical Researcher (Agree)
3.       Animal Rights Activist
(protection perspective, Animal Welfare Institute(AWI) / People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. (PETA)  (Disagree))
4.   member of the  Public people

 

Part 1:

1.       Discuss the purpose of animal testing in different field. (4 person)

2.       Discuss the consequences of animal testing (4person)
- religious
- medical
- law
- animal rights

Part 2:

Negotiate with the parties, should animal testing be banned or continued? if the animal testing be banned, is there any alternative method to replace animal testing ?
