I was talking to a presenter who tried to make their school a cleaner and greener place. Event planners were having trouble picking a theme so they did a trash can vote in which students voted but throwing trash away in a corresponding trash can. I thought it was a really nice idea and would like to implement it. At the beginning of the year, every ASB kid is assigned a buddy. Often older kids are paired with newer ones. Your buddy is a free friend someone you can ask questions and someone you can do things with. Every once in a while, buddies will meet up (especially if they haven’t in a while) so that they can check in and talk about stuff. Each pair of buddies is also assigned a few staff buddies (3-4ish depending on staff size).
