         <description><![CDATA[<div>When a student comes to a word they don't know they try saying it out loud. They may need to play around with the vowel sound, emphasis, etc. Hearing it aloud may  trigger memory of the word and its meaning. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>When you find a word you don't know, figure out it's job (is it a noun, an adjective, a verb) to help determine what it might mean.&nbsp;<br><br>Example: Everest casts a purple shadow... Casts comes after a noun, so it must be a verb. What does&nbsp;Everest do?  It makes a shadow...it causes a shadow.  Cast must mean make or cause. </div>]]></description>
