  • This picture, below to the Charing Cross shoot.
  • In this picture we can see motion blur, where the main focus are the flowers and the motion is in the background, making the flowers look still. This picture is colorful and vibrant because the colors it has are so bright, so this will catch the attention of the viewer.
  • What this image makes me feel/think about summer or warm days in London. I think the picture gives me this sensation because the colors as this are the usually tones that represent warmness.
  • The techniques used to get this picture were, motion blur. Motion blur is a technique where is necessary use a slow shutter speed and a tripod to avoid camera shaking. To see this effect is important that one point in the picture stay still, that way we can see the motion. Adjusting aperture we can add some depth of field to our image.
  • For me the successful part in this picture is that is possible to see the contrast between motion and still things, in addition, I think the picture has a good exposure.
  • The mistakes in this image are: the shutter speed was not slow enough, so the motion is not too much powerful.  To have the main focus in this image I made too much zoom and that made  that the picture looks to near to the viewer.
  • If I could take the picture again I would choose a slower ISO and also I would not make too much zoom to the flowers.
  • If I had to use Photoshop to improve the photo I would put the photo in black and white to make look more interested but I liked whit all the colors.
  • I think each person has their own ways of see an image. I think this picture can be liked by florist or persons that are interested in contrast between city and nature. Minimalist people like image that are not to much extravagant and I said that because the colors that my image has are bright.

    Francis bacon was a British figurative painter well known for his emotional charged raw imagery.  He wanted to show the true essence of the person he was painting ( beauty, ugliness, fears..).
    Task
    This task was about of exploring new things and how different photography techniques can help us to emulate some art work, in this case Francis Bacon work.
    In Francis´s work we can see some distortion in their faces of his paintings.
    To achieve this picture I used a tripod to avoid camera shaking because I wanted that the picture stays ´clear´ and that the only part that have movement is the face.

    This picture is composed by three buildings, one of them looks like is disappearing by the fog. The image is underexpose and also is in black and white. In addition the lights inside the building makes the image looks mysterious and adding some artificial light to the image. 
    The picture have a different perspective that gives an optical effect of feeling small, patterns, leading lines and contrast are part of this picture. Framing can be seen when you look at the building in the middle.     • Light drawing is the main thing in this picture. We can see a purple light creating different shapes in a black background. Th shapes seem are circles, waves and some straight lines. The title of this image is related with what I think this image transmit, because of the shapes,color and background this image makes me think like something is being created or is the origin of something new. In addition, the picture makes me feel like I am entering in an intergalactic world.
    Light drawing is the technique used to create this photograph where the important thing is light and for more impact darkness. A slow shutter speed is important to have time to capture your light drawing and also a tripod to avoid camera shaking and make the image looks clear. I used a purple color because I think it is a strong color that can transmit security and intrigue. My objective was to call the attention of the spectator and that's the reason of why I choose that color-and that background. I think it will have more impact is if the shapes were situated int he middle but I still thinking it is powerful.

  • What is exposure?
    • Exposure is how light it is captured in the picture your take, interfaces are the things that capture the light and there are different types Exposure is formed by three main things: ISO, aperture and shutter speed. There is two types of exposure, overexpose, when your image has a big amount of light, underexpose, when your image is dark, so light is not present.
    • What are the parts of the exposure triangle?
    ISO is the measurement of how sensitive the interface is to light. Each stops makes twice as bright. ISO controls the amount of noise as well.
    Aperture controls the amount of light that your camera going to take of outside.
     Shutter speed controls if you picture is going to be blur or freezing and this is controlled by the time you shutter speed is set and also how much light can came inside.
    • What aesthetic effects does each part of the exposure triangle have?
    The aesthetics effect that the exposure triangle can have are three
    Shutter speed+ exposure= blurring or freezing the image that means we can get motion in our picture controlling this two things.
    ISO+exposure= nose/graph
    Aperture+exposure= depth of field ( wide, shallow/narrow) Vignette is when the extremes of the object becomes dark.
    • Which part of the exposure triangle do you determinate first when do you change it ?
    The first thing to determinate  is the ISO. depending on the environment you are going to take the pictures.
    ISO needs to be changed when you want your image looks more lighter or more darker of the actually scene is.
    When changing the ISO is necessary to be careful and avoid noise because that way our image going to have less quality.

    The first thing to do is grab a photo sensitive paper, place the paper down the projector, put your choose not object on top the paper and then press the timer ( with a time that you have sent before). When the paper has been exposed to the light, is time to develop our print using a chemical process. We will use the next three chemicals.
    Developer : this chemical will develop the emulsion found in the sensitive paper. The paper has to be 1min 30 sec
    Stopper: stopper will stop the process of developing. 30 sec is enough.
    Fixer: this chemical is for fix the things in the print.

The big part of the images were taken between Vauxhall and Westminster.
    In this image we can recognise a metal handler that Ian getting touched by the sun, this create an abstract effect. For the composition I can say that leading lines, shadows and highlights are present. The thing that’s most call the attention is the highlight that’s can be seen on top the handler.

Motion blur try to capture any type of movement in pictures but is important to know how set your camera in the right setting( shutter speed, ISO and aperture).

    Black and white is the main point in this image. I wanted rob use monochrome because I think it makes the image look more strong and powerful. Composition is visible in this picture. Leading linean in the right hand, also patterns can be seen.     I choose this image because is simple but you can see the technique. In my opinion is a minimalist image, because the simple colours and shapes. 
    A small circle is formed by little light lines. To create this picture I used a torch and a movement from up to down. In addition is really important to use a tripod to avoid camera shaking.

    I like this picture because is in black and white and gives a soft texture to the image. Rule of three is apply in this image, because the subject is not situated in the middle of the image. Leading lines can be seen in the right hand, this lines lead you to the end of the image, also i can see some negative space in the front of the image but this can be arranged by cropping the picture.

In addition what we want in this kind of photography is to focus in people face, so I think that framing the subject is a good idea to make the image look more interesting. Other thing to considerate is the depth of field, this can be used to do framing as I did . Using this simple technique we can observe how depth of field can give you different mood to you images. Is necessary to understand how aperture works and how apply to different types of images.
     All this pictures were taken near Museum of London and was an experimental shoot to see how depth of field works. In addition it was necessary to make all the image looks the same (exposure).
    Bokeh is a technique that will appear when playing with depth of field. This 8 negatives were the first images taken by an analogue cameras.
     The ISO was pre'determinate it was 400, so I only had controll over the shutter speed and theaperture. The images were taken at the night so it was complicated to have a good exposure. This cameras has incorporate a metering, but each camera is different . Composition was the main subject in this 8 negatives, so I tried to find leading lines, framing, different point of view, patterns and depth of field.

This images were part of the black and white shoot. 
    This images are divided between studio and outside. In this shoot we had to take 24 pictures looking for different point of view, framing, patterns, textures and different types of light. I am happy with the results but I think I could do it better. Depending of the camera the metering is different so you have to learn in minutes how the metering works. 
    Most of the images are over exposed or are not in focus. The focus is a little bit hard to understand because sometimes looks like the image is in focus but when you see the print is not.. So you do not know if your pictures going to be okay until you processed them.
