We explored various stimuli for both Comedic and Dramatic improvisations, short and long set. On the 11.04.2016 we did a 60 minute improvisation with props, lighting, musical and visual stimuli.

The 18th was looking at comedic improvisations and recapping rules of improvisation. Students were given stimuli to work too and various situations- their assessment was done this week, however it was not up to standard. We will create another comedic improvisation piece next week and this will be their assessment. This will be their second chance and to make things easier for them, i gave them all a stimulus to work with so that they can create a polished piece of improvisation.

This week we began with multiple roles and situations in order to warm them up for their assessment.

They completed their assessment but lacked focus, confidence and commitment. They have not created imaginative or inspiring drama and neither have they thought about improvisation rules or techniques.

This is the last session due to moving into musical Breakdown next week.
