         <description><![CDATA[<div>For this group, I will be able to garner publicity in two different ways:<br><br>1. I, alongside other school counselors, will have classroom visits, specifically for the students in 11th grade, where we can discuss the group information and provide handouts for the students to further review. In addition, we will speak with the teachers to get any possible names of students they think could benefit from this group.<br><br>2. With this being the age of media and social media, I will be sure that the counseling department has an Instagram account, where we will also have information for the groups. This same information will also be listed on the school's website under the counseling department's specific page.</div>]]></description>

         <title>Pre-Group Interview/Screening</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Because of the nature of the group, it will be considered open to the students. However, the group will be limited to 10 students per 3 week session, and there will be 3 sessions per semester.<br><br>A needs assessment will be issued to each student to gauge their interest as well as their willingness to receive the information being provided.<br><br>The participating students will be notified in person, while they're in one of their classes. The counselor will be able to pull the student aside to advise them that they were selected. If there is an instance where the student is occupied by a major class assignment, the information will be left with the teacher to provide to the student before they leave class.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Stage 1- The relationships with the students and myself will be established early on. I will be sure to advise each student that the sessions are a place that is free of judgement. With each student being unsure of what they want to do with their lives post-graduation, there may be a sense of uncertainty with the information they are willing to share. For moments like that, I will let the students know that they can also speak with me in private.<br><br>Stage 2- To keep each member working cohesively, we will participate in small breakout groups and complete activities. I will also provide a mid point check-in that way I can gauge the receptiveness of the information being provided.<br><br>Stage 3- A final check-in will be given during the last session. For students who may need additional assistance, a follow up meeting can be scheduled.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>
