Claire was a scraggily little thing. Arms the size of a noodle, and legs barely the size of a chicken wing. She only weighed roughly 65 pounds. But she LOVED horses. She had a pony named Petie, but she would only have him until the end of October, because he was a lease. He was so naughty, and sometimes made her cry - but she loved him. Claire would always beg her mom to take her out to the barn. She normally went about 3 times a week. Claire loved creative writing, too. It was the only subject that she truly enjoyed, other than lunch of course.

Last year when I was preparing for a horse show on my friend's horse, Remmy we had a very frightening moment. Remmy was perfect, and he never did anything wrong. But whenever he slightly messed up, he thought he would be in big trouble. We were just having a normal lesson that day. We were supposed to go in between two jumps, the oxer (two jumps in a row) and a single. He thought I wanted him to jump the oxer, because I was inexperienced and giving him the wrong signals. When he jumped the oxer, I was NOT expecting it, so I came flying off of him. Because I fell off, he thought he had done something wrong, when it was really my fault. So, he ran off, in fear that he was in trouble. My friend's dad had to hop the fence to catch him! I'll never forget it.
