Aside from that, I genuinely would like to hear what Dr. Nurul has to say about the designs. Partly because it is one of the only ways to get professional feedback on our personal designs, since most of our assignments are not discussed about after turning in the final polished projects the semesters before this. Another part and especially because the critiques she provide will become a good conversation topic fuel with friends like Sheryn as we nitpick the designs and brainstorm ways it could be better. It was a long and enjoyable conversation. 

The silkcreen printing process was fun because it was something new, but after a while it is just tedious because of various mistakes and detours encountered,  but i can imagine it to be lot more fun without deadlines.  I wonder if the emulsion quality has degraded a bit for around the third batch of exposure students? There was so many people with botched and failed exposures on that Friday batch, for some reason.  And is there a certain consistency of paint needed for the printing process? As far as i remember, it seemed more wet on the first day we did the printing, compared to what the seniors showed us. The prints bleed like crazy until the afternoon. Or my frame is just 🤬.There are alot of variables to mull over to get a good print.

Also thanks to our graphic seniors, Mohammad Yasyar Bin Md Yusof and Hairi bin Abu Hassan for helping us throughout the silkscreen printing process from day one, attaching the silk at the frames until the day we did the transferring of images in the exposure room.

I would also like to say thanks to Encik Saiful Bin Abd Kadir for giving us some information and tips on how to put on the emulsion, transfer the image, and washing the frames. Also thanks to Dr Khizal Bin Mohamed Saat for checking our frames and giving some tips for  better frames.

Although this is the main reason this course is taught, I have also learned an interesting skill in this course which is silk screening. A huge thank you to Dr Zainurul Rahman and Dr Nurul Hanim Romainoor for giving us the opportunity to learn something new each and every week. It was a splendid experience through out the semester . 

Project 1 silkscreen was so fun despite some of the frustrating moments when the printing doesn’t turn out well. But overall it was a very fruitful experience since this is my very first time learning and practicing silkscreen . i have learnt alot during the process of silkscreen .


I would like to thank my friends Shamalah and Sinthu for helping me out through out the project . I also would like to express my feelings through all of the process of silk screen. Such a great that I had gain a new knowledge. The process of doing the silk screen is not really hard and not really easy, it is just need to be scrupulously careful in the ratio of the photo emulsion, in making a frame and in removing the photo emulsion using water after exposing. Making a poster using silkscreen is one method that is very difficult as it takes high perseverance and concentration. Such tough works have taught me a lot about what I need to know in order to become better in doing art works - from cutting frames to applying colours - certain skills are needed to  produce good results.

Coming from a language major, I have very limited basics and knowledge in arts but thanks to the two lovely lecturers - Dr. Zainurul and Dr. Hanim Romainoor, I was able to catch up with lessons and have my assignments done appropriately. 

Also a big thanks to my friends in Graphic Design for helping me out all the time. Its good to have such nice people around especially when it comes to studies. I will definitely take classes from arts school again.

On a side note, apologies for sending in late as my laptop had some unexpected breakdown. I hope this will not affect my grade's performance as I have tried so hard for this course.
