Firstly, why do many young people work part-time?

Hi everyone,

My name is Christian and today I am going to write about the advantages of working part time, would it benefit companies and the disadvantages of working on weekends.

Firstly, why do many young people work part time?

Young people work part time as it helps them improve their communication skills with work collagues and customers. Another reason why students work part time; they can focus on their course. For me, I study Art and work part time at WeatherSpoons (Woolwich) as a Waiter. It is important that I work so I can afford my art surplies, for example, paint, paint brushes and paper.

Student employees would be cheaper to hire. This would therefore, save the company money, which could be spent elseware, for example, to employ full time workers for during the week. Also, student employees that are only hired for the weekend can give the full time workers the weekend off. This means that the full time workers could get a well deserved rest.

One of the main disadvantiges is that students are not able to socialize with their friends and family, which could cause a decline in mental health and social life.

Another problem working on weekdays is that weekends are that over 80% of reasturants are shown to be busier than during the week. This would mean that you are more likely to have no rest days.

Overall week days are good and bad for students to work during the weekend as this can cause problems like tiredness and even headaches.

Firstly, I want to talk about the advantages of working during the weekends you can get all your schoolwork done during the weekdays; earn money as well.I am studying Level 2 Motor Vehicle i have to attend college 5 days a week and it is hard to find part time jobs during the evening.

Furthermore, it would be hard for me to balance football and kickboxing if I was working during the weekdays. Also there is less traffic during the weekends so this would help me save time getting to work Did you know that you don't have to pay tax if you make less then £12,000?

Secondly, I want to talk about the benefits of companies hiring students. Companies like to hire students because they can pay the students minimum wage(7.50) so that companies can save money. Another reason for students to get hired is they have less responsibilities, looking after children, don't have to do shopping and looking after the house.

In my opinion working during the weekends is not the best as I am a full time student I need time to relax.

Firstly, starting with the advantages is that not only that you study or doing something you like you would also get paid at the same time. Additionally,if you are someone like me who plays football 80% of their time it is very crucial to have part time job to fund football equipment and also gain social skills, why do young people work part time? young people work part time job to gain communication skills, earn money while studying, and also gain full experience.

Secondly, many companies employ students on the weekends because most of them are available on the weekends. They are busy on the weekdays with school and other activities(sports and entertainment) and it is also cheaper to hire them than someone who isn't a student. Some students are not fully experienced and fully developed which makes them cheaper and easier to hire, this suggests that companies would benefit from these by saving money and students will benefit from this by gaining experience.

Thirdly, the disadvantages of working weekends for young people is that 70% of them would want to study or complete any work from school; by working on the weekends, it is not possible to do any of these it lead them to failure on the other side. Another reason is young people may not have time to socialize with family and friends.

overall there are some negatives and positives of students working part time job, i believe that student should have choice like adults on times they would want to work.

My name is Elijah today I'm going to talk about the advantages, disadvantages of only allowing teenagers to work on weekends.

Firstly, I would like to point out that working part-time can be a good way for students to make extra money on the side while still being able complete their maths and English or any other quelifications they may have. With the money they make from these part-time jobs the students can use it to improve themselves or just to have fun.

I even work part-time myself at Primark; it has been a great stepping stone for me it's improved my social skills making me more confident in myself plus the other benefit is that get to put it on my CV. If I were to change jobs I would have a 70% higher chance of being hired it also helps as a way to learn budgeting skills because you have a whole source of income coming in. For myself I split my money in half one for spending and one for saving which has led to me being able to spend money on what I want while still having money there in case of emergencies.

If I were the owner of a business (Sony) I would really consider hiring more students because not only would it be cheaper for the company but also they will get less complaints about pay since they only work part time.

working on the weekends could help companies because weekends are more often then not busier then school days and students working on weekends could be a cheaper employee and could lift the work load off full time employees to help them take their much needed rest(full time workers work 35-40 hours on average in the uk)
