2. Key Concepts: Power, Resistance, Systems.

Understanding how people resist to government importance because it directly addresses the unit's themes of power, also event had an important influence on later resistance movements such as candlelight vigil or 12.3 revolution. More importantly, to become citizen who enjoys well laid out democracy, I believe this resistance movement should be studied to understand political systems and good how can we resist to government that gives unfair treatment.

This inquiry connects to broader themes of resistance to power and political system depicts how the people’s mind for freedom can change the government and society rule. Some country and people use their power in bed way to innocent people who following them, sometime include government. To fix this problem, citizen should focus on the society system. And 4.19 revolution happened with a protest led by students who worried about these things. Young people’s revolution made other people focus on the raising political consciousness and tried to actively participate in the social movement.

On the other hand, because of violent revolution, lot of people die or get trauma, and become financially difficult.

On this occasion, citizen get the chance to think about violent revolution’s tragedy and switch the mind to do non-violent revolution such as candlelight vigil. By studying 4.19 revolution and asking my question “In what ways did the 4.19 revolution in Korea affect civil liberties and political rights?”, it will make the citizen participate and consider about what the real democracy governments and why should focus on society.
