It's an organized, paperless method of communicating effectively with students. Students appreciate the ability to view all announcements, assignments, and quizzes in one easy area. It's a great tool for not only teachers but students as well. Students appreciate the fact they don't have to worry about saving or losing their work. They receive timely feedback from their teacher while having easy access to materials. If absent, students have the ability to view their work from home. I like the idea from yoga of the downward facing dog. When you leave your ego on the shelf and listen to your partner, early on in the team teaching experience, you suggest that your respect for their professionalism is fully intact. Trust there is a reason for why he/she did what they did. So many times our students will play us against one another. Kind of like, if Mom says No, go ask Dad. :) Backing one another will allow you and your partner to build trust and further grow your relationship.]]> 2018-03-22 19:48:09 UTC https://padlet.com/jennierandolph/Coteaching/wish/245223453 dalekennedy https://padlet.com/jennierandolph/Coteaching/wish/245394476 Our greatest obstacle to meeting the needs of our students is the push to turn teachers into scientists.  Our kids are not lab rats.  Embrace the idea that team teaching partners need to approach their mission goal as one of needing to build relationships with students.  Students will make more gains if they appreciate and trust their teaching staff.  Teaching teams make a critical mistake if their only motivation is to prepare students for a standardized tests.   Take chances, build relationships, change life trajectories.  "Damn the data, full speed ahead".
