Digital platforms such as AI-driven writing assistants, mind-mapping software, and adaptive learning systems allow learners to organize arguments with clarity, refine their reasoning, and receive instant feedback tailored to their individual needs, which promotes analytical precision and intellectual independence. Unlike one-size-fits-all instruction, these tools provide customized pathways that adapt to each learner’s pace and style, making education not only more accessible but also more robust in cultivating critical and creative competencies.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is becoming an important part of education. It can be a very helpful tool when used in the right way, but it can also cause problems if relied on too heavily. The real value of AI depends on how it is used; either to support learning or to replace it.

AI offers many benefits to students. It can explain difficult ideas, help organise thoughts, and provide practice outside of class. This is especially useful for students who may be shy or unsure about asking questions in class. According to the British Council’s article “AI in education: how to navigate the opportunities and challenges,” AI can also encourage creativity by suggesting prompts and ideas, making learning feel more engaging.

Teachers can also benefit from AI. It can create practice questions, check clarity in instructions, and even suggest lesson plans. This reduces repetitive work and gives teachers more time to focus on the most important parts of teaching; such as mentoring, guiding discussions, and supporting critical thinking.

However, there are clear risks when AI is misused. If students allow AI to write essays or solve tasks for them, they miss out on the real learning process. This can weaken skills like problem solving and independent thinking. There are also ethical issues, such as plagiarism, bias, and privacy concerns, which must be taken seriously.

For these reasons, clear rules are needed for how AI is used in education. Students should see AI as a tool to improve and support their work, not as a way to avoid it. Both students and teachers also need to learn how to use AI responsibly; understanding its limits, checking for mistakes, and recognizing bias. Schools should make sure all students have equal access so the technology does not widen learning gaps.

In conclusion, AI can greatly improve education when used carefully. It can help students learn more confidently, support teachers in their work, and make lessons more engaging. But if misused, it risks harming the learning process. The best way forward is to use AI as a support system that strengthens education, while keeping human effort and guidance at the center of learning.

In regards of finding out if my landlord is coming into my apartment and looking through my things, the fist step would be to install cameras throughout the house with the point of view being strategically placed at important/valuable items. This action is a better idea than falsely throwing accusations around without any evidence as it would create a serious of problems that would have been avoidable. If the suspicions are true regarding the landlord looking through my things, I would check all of my legal documents and the lease I signed with the landlord for the place, then would make a lawyer read over everything to make sure there is no loop holes that allow the landlord to do that. If the lease does not mention anything in regards off accessing my housing without consent I would gather as much evidence I can and report it to the police without mentioning it to the landlord as he can change his story and get away from the situation. This is the most effective idea as he would have a hard time coming up with a story to back themselves resulting in a arrest made of the landlord and myself finding another place to rent out.

Regarding my suspicion of my landlord entering my apartment without authorisation, I believe setting up a camera in my living space would ease my suspicions and reveal whether or not it's true. If my landlord did enter without authorisation, I would have solid evidence and be entitled to legal action and compensation. If it were otherwise, I would still feel at more ease with a better sense of security in my home. The camera is easy to purchase and setup, a common legal method of obtaining appropriate evidence and is very applicable in a real-world scenario. With its common availability anywhere in stores and security wares, high reliability and functionality, and almost no negative side effects of getting one (minus the cost of purchasing one and reduced privacy in the apartment as a section will constantly be recorded), the camera has become the common route for people to choose when looking for home protection and for obtaining real footage of any captured incident to be used as evidence in case of any legal problems. Having a video of the real problem in real-time has always been and will continue to be a powerful source of evidence in the court of law.

I love my cute little demon, but I also value my friends deeply, and I want them to have a great time visiting my place. A solution to this problem would be to bear the pain of losing a cute phoney dog and gift it to my local Chinese chef, Mr Wong. Mr Wong is a very patient person, and he loves little animals; he would find a way to solve this unusual problem and give my dog a place it can truly call home. This is a very viable solution as I no longer have to worry about my guests being harassed by my dog, and Mr Wong will get a lovely companion.

In modern society there are concerns about the faithfulness of Artificial Intelligence (AI) partners when it comes to relationships. There have been many signs by individuals in relationships with their AI partner, that the intelligence is committing adultery. While there are many solutions within human-to-human relationships on how to tackle this relationship threading problem, the modern-day relationship requires a twist. How do you catch an AI partner cheating? Such a modern-day problem requires a modern-day solution, enabling a new AI model to evaluate the partner. We have access to many different AI models that can analyse and evaluate various contexts. Applying them to a situation such as a cheating partner is no different, nevertheless an AI partner. The new AI could act as “cheater detector,” by giving them evidence of what you assume is cheating to analyse. When struggling with cheating in a relationship is necessary that the source of evaluation to the problem is unbiased, with an AI that is ensured. This solution is also effective due to the ease of applying the evidence and getting a response from the model at once.

- Ella

Sometimes, people may joke that “my dog is racist”. However, what is really happening is usually a mix of fear and poor socialisation, rather than any sort of intentional bias. Dogs make sense of the world through experiences and patterns, alike humans, and when they have not been exposed to a wide variety of people earlier on in their lives, they can react anxiously to anyone who seems different from what they know. One way to tackle this problem is to slowly expose the dog to a diverse group of people in calm and safe situations, pairing this with rewards such as treats or praises. This solution is effective as it helps the dog replace whatever tension it was feeling with something familiar and positive, redirecting its stressed behaviour over a period of time. Though not an immediate fix, positive socialisation tends to create more lasting change and a more relaxed dog overall as compared to doing nothing, or worse, punishing the dog’s behaviour.

khairah

Even though the problem starts with someone trying really hard to grow a mustache to look more like their amazing AALL teacher, they feel like nothing is changing and that can be really frustrating. But this problem can be handled in a more organized and realistic way. The solution can begin with understanding that facial hair growth depends on good skin care, the right vitamins and consistent habits. What they can do includes trying dermaplaning, which can remove dead skin cells and can help the hair grow better, and investing in vitamins like Biotin, Vitamin D, and Zinc, which can support healthy hair growth. They can also use oils like castor oil or rosemary oil to nourish their hair follicles. Another helpful step is to get advice from a dermatologist, because a professional can check their skin and explain what might be slowing the growth. Taking a simple blood test is also a really smart move because sometimes hair doesn’t grow well when the body is low in certain vitamins or minerals. Knowing this early can help them fix the problem faster. Now comes how to use these solutions in real life. They should build a simple morning and night routine where they can apply their oils, take their vitamins, and keep their skin clean and exfoliated. Dermaplaning can be done once every week or two, and oils can be used once or twice a day to stay consistent. When trying to look at whether all of this is worth it, the answer is yes! because even though it takes time and effort, it can improve their skin, make them healthier overall and actually give them a better chance at growing the mustache they want!

To address the issue of my dog seeming “racist,” it’s important to look at what might actually be causing his reactions. My proposed solution is to calmly expose him to people of different races and observe whether his barking is consistent or if it changes depending on the situation (identifying what triggers the behavior). To do this, I would introduce him to a diverse group of people in a controlled environment and observe his reactions each time. Positive reactions would be, for example, wagging its tail, not growling, not barking, relaxed body language, etc. Negative or “racist” reactions could consist of: barking, growling, tail between its legs, or tense body language. By doing so, I can figure out whether the behavior is based on fear, lack of socialization, or just random responses. Overall, this solution is effective because it helps identify whether my dog’s behavior is actually rooted in fear rather than racism. It also provides a way to correct the issue by giving the dog positive social experiences with different people. In the end, this solution allows me to replaces assumptions with real observations, giving you a clearer understanding of what your dog is reacting to.

In relation to the problem of accidentally joining a local Bristol cult because they offered free Domino’s pizza. I purpose that the new cult member work to become a high-ranking member inside the Bristol cult. This can be accomplished by becoming a missionary for the cult and leading people into the arms of the great leader by offering free Domino’s pizza when someone joins, as this has already been proven to work extremely well. Once this is accomplished the cult member will have gained access to unlimited free Domino’s pizza. Which will result in free food for the rest on their live for the small price of being stuck in a cult.

Tackling the home invasion issue is not a simple task, especially when the trespassing is being done by the landlord of the apartment. You may think, since he is the real owner of said property, that it is not against the law for him to access it, but, quite the contrary, trespassing is considered a criminal offense and an act of harassment. Therefore, a possible solution to that problem may be to install a CCTV camera in your apartment to be able to have a record, with a time and a date, that you can use against him in a court of law. Installing a simple camera should be a feasible option in terms of cost and effectiveness, regardless of the house's income. In terms of cost, you don't need a whole surveillance system; a simple budget camera will do the job, and it would still be as effective in getting the record of the possible intrusion and be able to take the needed legal action to get the required compensation.

In terms of the problem of the landlord coming into the apartment and looking through your things while you're not there a solution could be setting up CCTv cameras. This can be done by just visiting the nearest tech store and book for one to be set up. The Cctv can also be set up with an alarm system so as to be alerted when someone breaks into your house. Setting up this security system will not only provide security against the landlord but also against future cases of attempted theft. In addition to its effectiveness the system could be set up within a short period of time. The alarm system provides the user with a sense of security and makes them feel safe through the night and as they go along with their daily activities. This is an achievable solution as the security system is easily accessible, does not require one to have very good IT skills and everyone can be able to set up one.

In regards of the problem where my landlord is coming into my apartment and looking through my things when I am not there, which makes me feel unsafe and disrespected, the solution I decided on is to first talk to him directly and explain that he is not allowed to enter without permission and that I expect my stuff to be left alone. Along with that, I will be setting up a camera to monitor what happens while I am away. This helps me protect my privacy and gives me proof if the problem continues. I think this solution is worthwhile since it gives my landlord a fair chance to change his behavior, while also providing me proof for further action if the problem continues.

As we return to the ‘post-pandemic classroom’, the present study focuses on one such digital tool, Shared Documents (SDs), and explores their perceived pedagogical value across the online/on-campus teaching dichotomy. It investigates the beliefs and experiences of a representative group of early SD adopters at a UK Higher Education institution to determine where and how they can best be utilised as a learning technology. Where similar investigations into SD-technology were largely dependent on tutor perceptions, the present study, which employs a semantic approach to Thematic Analysis, provides student perceptions an equal platform, believing that it is only by involving all members of the community of practice to which SDs are introduced that we can determine the factors affecting their effective utilisation. The results indicate three key areas where SDs provide value as a learning technology: gauging student understanding, encouraging communication, and collaborative learning. However, these findings also reveal the legacy of COVID-19 on student working practices, with clear implications for the design and management of SD-mediated activities. Practical recommendations in these areas are offered, as well as implications for research into SD use in the ‘new normal’ of teaching.

Dear future IFP students,

Congrats on getting into the IFP.

This whole IFP thing is about feedback, so read all your assignment information at the first week, when your teacher tells you that you are starting the assignment write something every single day, when it is time to submit formative assignments submit whatever you have and get feedback. Remember that your tutors are here to help you.

And yeah, you got this*,

Sincerely,

Me (and a few edits by Mutai)

(*Probably)
