It was difficult when we had our first free write because it was so straightforward. Although it was an opener to the day, to me it felt like it was possible for me to mess up. Being able to write without any limitations in our free writing and in our essays as well, helped me to write more creatively and out of the box.

As we continued to have more Monday discussions, after a few times I was able to notice more in our readings and think about them in different aspects so that I was able to broaden my thinking as we went on further and new elements stood out to me while reading.

When we were given a word bank to help us say what we wanted to without being too blunt I found that very helpful and being able to decline or accept certain critiques from others was what helped me effectively fix my writing and not feel like a bad writer.
