But with more detail it completes the thought and we are more satisfied with the answer. Where as you don't know what is there in the dark and there could just not have anything there. There isn't really anything you can do in the dark but in the light you know what is happening and you know if theres something wrong that you can't really do about. With imagery your brain will see what it wants , but with the lack of not knowing seems scarier to me just like the example with the dark.
