The Courage Jar is a unique tool that helps us remember and celebrate moments of bravery. It's like a jar filled with little notes of courage that we collect whenever we feel strong or face our fears. This simple activity encourages us to recognize our own bravery and support each other through challenging times. It's a small gesture with a big impact, reminding us that courage is always within reach, even in the toughest moments. Because of these reasons, me and my students wrote our courageous sentences for each other, we decorated our jars, and each of us threw a courageous sentence to our friends' jars. We also didn't forget our family members, we created a courage jar to give courage to our family. We will read these courageous sentences each day and we will add more of them.

In our courage jar activity, we aimed to give our students the opportunity to support, encourage and motivate each other. We expanded the activity in our classes. We also created opportunities for parents to participate in the activity at home. It was a team effort that they enjoyed very much.

My students took empty jars and decorated them with anything they liked. They made them bright and colourful by using stickers, pom-poms, tissue papers or ribbons and they painted them. They made their own decorations for their courage jars.

My team made their courage jars to help encourage themselves to conquer their everyday fears. They asked their classmates to write their encouraging words on the papers, fold and put them into the jars. They were creative and wrote inspirational words for their friends. Also they asked their teachers to express their positive thoughts about them by writing on papers.

As April task, we made a courage together for the class. Every student of the team wrote a suggestion or an affirmation that they want to hear or they want to do when they feel sad and overwhelmed. Right after we completed our jar, every student made another jar for their home individually.

Students focused on different emotions and decided to create a poster about the jar of emotions with paper and wooden sticks, including messages connected to courage and well-being! After this phase, the students decided to hang the poster on the classroom wall.
