Previously there have been separate groups for families, for school and for community stakeholders - the new engagement model will see more connectedness between stakeholders. A work smarter, not harder model! 
To support development of the Improvement plan and current CFC goals, a wide range of quantitative and qualitative data sets are considered - responsive to the stakeholder partnerships. The intention is that the changes being made will allow for greater co-construction and shared understandings of our aims and directing supports to children and families.

We seek trends, observations and anecdotal evidence of what the service providers see within the community. Subsequent meetings focus upon where we are going, seeking support or input into key actions. The service providers are then asked to help review and provide feedback in the improvement plan. 
Another important aspect of these meetings is to provide time for service providers/ key stakeholders to meet each other. There are often changes in personnel so the opportunity to spend time getting to know each other is valued.

The CFC, local schools, and ECIS work together to create a collective improvement plan  with goals created using the Inquiry model.  During the scan and assess phase we do a 'deep dive' into both the qualitative and quantitative data from all three settings, as well as AEDC and regional data to help determine focus areas that guide the collective team in their work for the year.  

The CFC utilises this information to platform into our own improvement plan in the area of learning outcomes.

We also utilise this information in platforming conversations with other stakeholders eg. data on the KDC regarding speech, informing conversations with the NDIS providers about developing health/wellbeing areas on our improvement plan.

It is always challenging to filter the priorities when across stakeholders there are so many goals and focus areas that are important.  Using the data to work out what to prioritise has been useful.

We can use this as a means of scan and access to collect the data to inform our improvement plans.
