He contributed to the Scientific Revolution through his discovery of the three laws of planetary motion and hugely supported the idea of heliocentrism.

The printing press(1440) is a machine that allows for the mass production of printed materials like books, newspapers, and pamphlets. Invented by Johannes Gutenberg in the 15th century. As for its significance, it made books cheaper and more accessible, which led to a surge in literacy and education. It also played a huge role in spreading ideas, fueling the Renaissance and the Reformation. It set the stage for the modern world by giving knowledge and information.

René Descartes(1596-1650) was a French philosopher, mathematician, and scientist. One of his most famous statements is "Cogito, ergo sum" (I think, therefore I am). Descartes had a massive impact on both philosophy and science. In philosophy, his method of doubt and emphasis on reason over tradition carried on into the future. In mathematics, he's the guy behind Cartesian coordinates (the x and y-axis). His work set the stage for the scientific method and has influenced everything from physics to psychology.

Nicolaus Copernicus(1473-1543) was a mathematician and astronomer. He was one of the biggest contributors to the Scientific Revolution. He brought forth the idea of a heliocentric universe which means that the planets and Earth specifically revolve around the Sun. Otherwise called a Sun-centered system. He also discovered that the Earth moves daily and has it's own axis and therefore what people saw in the heavens was Earth moving.

The Heliocentric Theory(1543) locates the Sun at the center of the universe. All the other planets and especially Earth rotate around the Sun. This was a huge difference from the previously accepted geocentric models that placed Earth at the center. This theory revolutionized our understanding of the universe and laid the groundwork for modern astronomy and physics.

The Scientific Revolution occurred mainly during the 1500's to 1600's. It was the discovery of numerous different scientific theories and methods. Many of the main contributors were people such as Isaac Newton, Copernicus, and Aristotle. The Scientific Revolution was heavily based on the discovery of many astronomical and space-related theories as that was one of the first main sciences discovered. The Scientific Revolution impacted much of today as it was the base and foundation of literally all modern-day science.
