Combining information (4.RC.9) is no longer essential with the state, however I believe DSC should keep it a priority. Student combine information from at least 2 texts on majority of their summative assessments in ELA. This skill also builds off of their RACE response writing.

I don't love ditching combining texts, especially as this is key in the pt.

If we de-prioritize standards, I would like to see more flexibility for teaching time of the non-priority standards. (They don't have to be assessed, but I struggle with finding the time to teach them well.

Can we take another look at scoring and proficiency learning targets now that the IODE has included them with the standards. A revamp might make grading more consistent across the district.

-RACE/Double RACE in q1 (pairs nicely with informative)

-Informative / Persuasive during quarter 2

-Persuasive / Narrative during quarter 3?

4.CA.3 mentions the properties of multiplication- more importantly the distributive property. Having some resources to supplement this skill would benefit our instruction.

We've discussed doing a power unit of vocabulary at boy, especially to make sure kids are seeing geometry vocab

Ilearn was PACKED with geometry, and I feel like we RACED through it this year with little to no time to spiral

Will the data questions still require adding and subtracting mixed numbers? If so, we should keep the unit so we can hit it multiple times.

If angles are no longer tested, then I say we should get rid of it since classifying angles is somewhat touched on when classifying triangles. This will also allow more time at the end of the year for review.
