         <title>Approximate Analogies</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>In "Approximate Analogies" students simply complete the second half of an analogy-- A is to B as X is to Y. <br><br>An example for a science class would be: "Carbon sinks are to  oceans like carbon sources are to ___________________" Answers I would be looking for would be "fossil fuel use/extraction, livestock, humans exhaling."<br><br>Technology Use: I might use Mentimeter.com for this so that I could see all of the student responses on the board instead of having students call out answers. </div><div><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>After reading the chapters in the novels, I group my students up in groups of 4.  I then have them write 6 questions and answers from the chapters read to ask the other groups.  If the group answers the question correctly they receive 2 points.  If they do not answer the question correctly, the group asking the question receives the 2 points.   The kids love this.  They try and come up with questions they assume the other groups will not be able to answer.</div>]]></description>
