My first interaction with the book was that it was a bit silly and I enjoyed the fact that it seemed very light hearted. The story is about a ten year old girl that got "swallowed up by a mirror" and transported somewhere else. I'm wondering where the story will go and who else will be involved. I read around 13 pages and my goal is to build my stamina and read more

In the book, you discover that the main character Abby had to move to a town completely different than hers because of her family. My experience with the book hasn’t changed very much since nothing too interesting has happened and we’re still mainly just getting to understand the main character. About myself as a reader, I’ve noticed that there are times when I read very slow because even though I’m reading, I’m not very focused so I have to go back and reread the page. Something else I’ve noticed is that when the book feels silly or unserious in some parts it tends to annoy me. A goal for when I want to finish this this book would probably be in a couple weeks and I could read around 5-10 pages a day.

The main character becomes the set designer because she loves theater and being in the club but she cant really sing. One thing that could be a problem for her is that she does not know much about carpentry and the members of the team are not getting along very well. The main character is very sweet but she can be very awkward sometimes. I feel like i am moving along in the book very well and i may be able to finish it soon.
