Date: 25/02
Items: Greeting to others

The first step in communicating with others is greeting. Compared with greeting in English every day, I try to imitate the tone of German locals and greet friends in German. such as "Guten Morgen." "Wie geht es Ihren?" My friends will be curious and will be enthusiastic about guessing which language is the language of which country. This stimulates my interest in continuing to learn other languages from other aspects.

Next, I am very excited to go to YouTube to find relevant videos, to imitate and learn the tone and intonation of a German, and I think the effect is very good.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2u_1OBb5cRg

“Interest is the best teacher”

Some of them have similar pronunciation to English, but most of them are quite different from English. Especially in the combination pronunciation of letters, German seems more rigid and similar to spelling, which also reduces the difficulty of German pronunciation from another angle.

https://www.thoughtco.com/the-german-alphabet-1444644

Date: 09/04
Items: Gender and Cases

Part of speech occupies a very large proportion in German. When a sentence is constructed, it should take into account the influence of part of speech on each component of the sentence, and then change the verb correctly according to the part of speech. In some cases, improper use of part of speech can cause ambiguity, which needs special attention.

https://gramnesty.com/category/grammar/cases-grammar/

Date: 14/05
Items: Prepositions

Preposition is the last part of German grammar this semester, which I think is more flexible. As in English, the division of prepositions in German is very meticulous but has different characteristics. Some prepositions originate from fixed collocations, but some prepositions need to be chosen according to specific contexts. Different prepositions may be allowed in grammar, but the actual meaning will bring about great differences leading to jokes.

https://www.thoughtco.com/german-grammar-prepositions-1444472
