Some of the drugs combined with the chemical dopamine could have serious consequences such as ignoring the harmful effects of the drugs. Additionally, it can lead to intense craving of the drug and may cause the user to build a tolerance to natural dopamine levels so they are not able to be happy from normal activities. Because users want the drug so badly, they can become addicted to it to get the same effect as before. By flooding the reward pathway, the body wants the drug intensely which could result in major addiction.
