When you’re in London, you have to see the British museum! You can choose to which special exhibition you want to go and for how long you will stay there. At the end of December, you can visit the exhibition ‘South Africa the art of a nation’ or ‘Defacing the past damnation and desecration in imperial Rome’ (this last one is for free).

We think that this is a good exhibition for you, because it’s about the Romans and you gave us lessons about that last year, so we looked for some information. At this exhibition you can see the Roman history from a different and special vision. It displays coins, inscriptions, sculptures and symbols from the old Romans.

Price: Depending on the exhibition you choose (the exhibition about Rome is free!)

To get from your B&B to the British Museum, you walk to the tube station near the B&B (Paddington tube station). There you take “the Bakerloo Line” southbound. You have to get off at the tube station “Charing Cross” and there you can take the “Northern Line” northbound. At “Goodge Street” (3 stops) you have to get off the tube and then you have to walk a few minutes before you see the British Museum on your left side. To get to the National Gallery, you will have to look at the tube map. The Gallery is at Trafalgar Square. All the other destinations aren’t far away from your B&B, so you can walk those distances, like you asked.

Price: We think you better buy a Visitor Oyster card. This card costs £3, you can put money on this card and then you can take each line on every moment (if there is money on your card!). You can top up this card on the website. According to the site, you can start with £15 if you stay in London for 2 days. A single fare costs £5.50 !
