My thought on video 1. are that Donald Trump does not like the current trade deal that is NAFTA involving Canada/USA/Mexico. I believe he is more concerned with re-negotiating the USA's trade deals with Mexico rather than Canada. I think people are making a bigger deal about this than it should be as i don't think much will change in trade policy between the USA and Canada as it will have to go through congress first.

In this video the new trade deal signed between Canada and the European Union is discussed. I believe the deal will hurt some Canadian businesses such as dairy and wine producers. But will help other industries such as beef and agriculture. So it is hard to say what the overall effect of this deal will be but i believe that Canada will be getting the worse end of the deal in the long run simply because Europe produces a lot more products than we do therefore they will be selling more here in Canada.

I believe the woman speaking in this video is absolutely right that trade deals within provinces and territories are too complicated and complex. These trade deals should be free to help businesses within our own country grow and succeed. The Government needs to impose free trade deals amongst all provinces and territories to help our country succeed and this would only benefit them more.

In this link the writing talks a lot about how the invention of the internet and new technology has brought people from all over the world closer together. I would have to agree with this as it helps with global communications and makes for quicker and smoother business deals. This is seen as a positive as businesses can grow quicker. By being able to making business deals with foreign county's easier it helps increase economies on a global scale.

This link talks about how Canada must keep evolving with the future of globalization, and to embrace it not try to diminish it or slow it down. I agree with this article to a certain extent that we need good fair trade deals but not just any trade deal that is out there to be had. For example a lot of countries just want our resources but we buy finished goods from them instead. We usually end up getting ripped off through deals like this.

Such topics that are discussed are: Agreements, disputes, Negotiations, and Trade monitoring. Canada has been a part of the WTO since 1995 and has been apart of many different disputes regarding trade deals. This is a good website to help understand how our country functions on a national level.
