Beautiful
My hand reaches out and touches the door
But I feel nothing
Slowly I shut the door
The light slowly brushes past my face
Darkness slithers into the room
I close my eyes
And feel the darkness soaking in my skin
The door closes

I lose myself in thoughts
when I see something beautiful,
I hold my breath, fearing it blow away
when I fall asleep at night, I float elsewhere, to a world of dreams
when I close my eyes, I see the past as clear as day
and when you are hurt, I long to reach out, but hold back knowing that you will shy away as a cornered rabbit from a fox.

the hush of the snow as it fell outside my window,
I reached out, and a single snowflake alit upon my palm, a moment of beauty, and it melted away, as a spoken word dies in an instant, only lingering long enough for one taste of it's meaning.
snowflakes are the world's way of saying, "I am beautiful"

between them, though there are differences, they are all really the same. when I walk past graffiti, I see someone who wants to show their work to the world. when I see street art, I see someone who wants to inspire others by showing they work to the world.
when I see homeless people, I see people who have had a hard life, but are human just like the rest of us.

 we are all human; big or small, introvert or extrovert, religious or atheist.
we are all equal.
