They change their shoes when walking into school. Japanese school goes on for about an hour longer than schools here. There also seems to be more study at home for Japanese students. The Japanese students usually have their mom make their lunch whereas in New Zealand the student makes the lunch themselves.

In Japan they study English and here they study Japanese.

We don't do that in New Zealand. 

At the end of the day, they all clean their classroom which is not something we do in New Zealand. They also stay at school for longer than here.

In Japan they use blackboards and here we use whiteboards. 

I also go to bed late at 1am :)

Their library has small closed-off desk areas to study at. In our library, we don't really have those.

Both in Japan and here, we eat our lunch together with our friends. We mostly eat outside but in Japan they eat inside the classrooms
