The planning, design, and revision process can be quite extensive, time-consuming and labor intensive. This is a recursive process that requires a continuous improvement framework (Manatschal). A student-centered learning environment and assessment regime is characterized by frequent formative assessments that inform the teacher as to the rate of knowledge absorption and understanding of the learner.
