K - Kin. My husband and I have two sons, ages 10 and 7. They love to work alongside their Dad on our family dairy farm, also known as Raising Kane Farm.
A - Additional Careers.  I have degrees in Recreation and General Science. I spent the first part of my career leading recreation and programming at nursing homes and Christian camps. 
T - Teach. I teach 2nd grade. About 10 years ago, I completed the TIP program at Wilson College and teach in the Chambersburg area.
I - I ❤️ traveling.  I’ll go to the mountains, beach or anywhere in between. 
E- Everything Outside. In my spare time, I love walking, bike riding, and hiking.

I am a First grade teacher in the Shippensburg Area SD. This is my fifth year teaching! I previous taught third grade in Virginia for two years, then I was a long-term Kindergarten substitute in the Cumberland Valley SD for a year, and last year I taught Kindergarten in Shippensburg. It has been an amazing experience getting to move up a grade with some of my students from last year. 
While I am teaching, I am also planning my wedding for this coming July! My fiance, Nathan, and I could not be more excited to start our lives together. In my free time, I like to bake, hike, go camping, and kayak. I also like to keep up with my opera singing training by singing in my church choir.

I am a Pre-Kindergarten special education teacher. I teach a group of students with varying needs in the morning, mainly autism. In the afternoon, I teach a group of students with behavioral/social/emotional needs. Many of these students have experienced trauma already in their short lives, and it has really become my passion to help them learn to manage their emotions  and feel safe and enjoy coming to school! 
I am also a wife and a mommy! My husband and I are getting a Soft-Coated Wheaten Terrier puppy named Otis within the next month. We enjoy spending time with family and friends.
