A lots of squeaks, a lots of words, a lots of laugh...
In summer we found animals, which lived on the tree, in winter we built under the tree an igloo.

This apple tree is very special to me for many reasons. One of the reasons is that it had been planted by my grandfather before I was born. Another reason is that its apples are very delicious. You can see it the most beautiful in spring when it is in blossom. Last spring a birds’ family settled in the cavity of its trunk. It was very beautiful to watch them! Two connected trees probably grew from one seedling. I am not sure how old is it. I have tried some methods to count it and result is something about 150 years. I think it can easily be more but I don't know how to prove it. This tree was probably planted by some of my ancestor on his garden. Unfortunately in this time this tree isn't ours, maybe if it weren't for communism, it would be. This tree is big landmark. It can be seen from a great distance. Maybe thanksfull  it is on the hillock.

I’m going to talk about a magical living piece of nature, miss Birch. Many people consider this tree as a quite weak one because of its very thin branches, but I think only thanks to its thin branches that just a soft blow of wind rocks, birch can be so loving and gentle. Which another tree is able to caress us when we go around? Birch’s branches were made to comfort the angry and kiss the crying. It symbolizes to me the purity, the strength… My mother has always been saying the birch has a special healing power. People had known about this power of trees already in the Middle Ages, the birch specifically was regarded for its disinfectant effect.

For this description I chose tree on our garden. For you and anybody else it probably isn't special at all, but for me this tree means a lot. It is plane tree situated in front of my parent's bedroom window view. My dad planted it when I was little kid and actually it was little kid either. By that I mean we are growing up together and I perceive him as younger brother or member of family. Actually in that way it outgrew me a little, but it is close:). I just think it has a character.

Nowadays, this birche that has actually two trunks is one of the few trees left. It has always been here - right in front of our house and the first thing we see while looking out of the window.  It also means having catkins all over the garden and constantly swimming in the pool. Other than that I really like this tree and it’s on the west from the garden so I see it everytime I look at the sunset and it makes the view look even nicer.

Right now, it doesn’t have any leaves (like any other deciduous tree), but with leaves it looks way better. For me this tree has some emotional value, because when I was a kid, I was playing there a lot with my friends, brothers or even with my cousins. It is one of the best places in our garden, because from the top there is a great view of surroundings and under the tree is also a cosy shade, the best place to sit in hot summer days.

It's a crooked willow tree growing at the shore of a pond. I've only discovered it a few months ago, because I haven't been to this part of forest until then. I can't even tell why I chose this tree, it just popped in my head. Maybe it's something about the shapes of its branches or the twisted trunk that makes it so interesting to me. I haven't yet seen it with leaves nor in bloom, but I'm sure it will look even better and I look forward to see it. I just hope it isn't dead already.

It's a lime tree about twenty years old. In the past Lipka was placed somewhere else but she didn't have enough space so we have removed her. Now, she has a great view to Český Merán and people lying under her branches as well. Behind Lipka you can see an old stump of ash tree which was strucked by lightening so hopefully this place has exhausted the probability of another lightening strike and Lipka will live there for at least 500 years.

I grew up with this tree – well, not entirely, but particularly. It is right in front of my former home, so for nearly 14 years we were growing next to each other. It really surprised me, how much it has grown, because when I was born, the top of the tree was only reaching balcony of the second floor and when we moved out it was slightly above forth floor balcony, but now it tops the roof of whole house. Also, it has meaning for my family too, because when it was just a little tree, my parents with our former neighbor were decorating it for Christmas. So, although we didn’t plan this tree nor we took much care of it (like watering or stuff), I dare to call it the tree of my family.

It was difficult for me to pick one, but then, earlier this day I realised that almost everyday I walk around this tree with beautifully curved branches and trunk. And i think it gives me needed power and positive energy into the day. I enjoy looking at it, because it very well represents the beauty of nature.

Although it’s very tall and it seems ancient it’s actually happy and healthy tree. People say that trees are homes for a lot of animals. This one is no exemption but it’s more like a playground. I see squirrels running all over this tree al the time. Especially in winter. Besides all the animals and it’s size, this tree has another special feature. It’s the only white tree around. It’s a birch so you can easily spot it every part of a year. But only in winter when everything is covered in snow it’s almost invisible.

In the picture you can see an oak-tree on the edge of a pond. It is located right next to forest in Planá nad Lužnicí, 1 or 2 kilometers far from my house. The reason why it is important to me is that when I go fo a walk, I usually go through the forest and then I sit next to this tree and I just relax and enjoy the silence, fresh air and the sunset.

Nonetheless, all the pictures are somewhere in dad's hard disk, really hard to find. So, I went to the meadow nearby my house (which is on the east end of Veselí nad Lužnicí) and I took a photo of these birch trees. I find them interesting since my dad first took me there to play lacrosse with him. Those birches stand there so lonely as there's nothing 20 m in proximity. Furthermore, someone made a seat between two of those birches, so you can have nice time sitting here with a fairly good view on the city, because it's nicely situated on a hill.
