The Temperance movement was enforced because the way people thought that alcohol influenced men and their action. They felt that alcohol was ruining the society so the government had to try and pass a law saying all alcohol is illegal. This issue was mainly brought up by women and they were explaining how terrible alcohol is and that its ruining America. The men and woman that drank alcohol were furious but they had no say until they rebelled against this movement. 
            Eventually this law and movement ended with the drinkers winning. Summary: Labor reforms are one of the largest hits to the industry business seeing as the labor is what runs their companies, which gives them money, so labor reforms were largely disliked because it meant that more money had to come out of their pockets to provide a safer environment for said employee to work. Of course the employees were happy because that meant they wouldn't be risking their lives everyday, wondering if they'd ever see their kids again everyday as they go to work. 
          With better labor conditions the workers will be happier and the companies will benefit because a happy employee, is a better producer, making the companies more money in the long run. So in general it helps both the workers and owners, but the only people that actually saw that were the workers. The owners were ferious not realizing the outcome of all of this would be in their favor.
