We all have things that we feel we can't do. Sometimes it is dreams that we have never been able to reach. Maybe it is the fear of failure or of others that hold us back. When life throws seemingly insurmountable obstacles at us, how do we respond? Better yet, how do our family and friends respond? Describe at least one thing you think you can't do or that limits you, and then explain how your loved ones react to your limitation.

One thing that I feel I cannot do is public speaking. I do not think that the thoughts and ideas I formulate are put together well enough to share with others. My loved ones react to this limitation I have by supporting me and saying that if I try hard enough, I can accomplish anything.

I can't become President of the United States of America. I feel like my parents would agree. I was born outside the country to non-american parents. So legally i cannot become the president of the United States. However, I can become a doctor, which has nothing to do with the presidency or the government, but nevertheless I can still become one.

I think one thing that scares me a lot of the time is competition. Every cross country meet and track meet I get so stressed and worried. I'm afraid of poor performance and I'm also afraid I'll let my team down. However, whenever the meet is done is when I remember it doesn't matter that much in the long run. My friends and family won't leave me, and they are who really matter in life.

One thing that limits me is how much pressure I put on myself. In sports and academics, I feel like I have to be the best. Especially in sports, I am constantly telling myself that I have to win and I can't let anybody else beat me. I also become worried and stressed that I'm not living up to my potential, and I want to fulfill every possible dream that I have. However, my friends and family constantly reassure me that I am doing great and tell me that I'm worrying too much. I really like this video, though, because in reality there is nothing that we can't do if we set our minds to do it.

I can't control my temper. Sometimes I think that anything could set me off because I am stressed and don't want to complain or vent to anyone about my problems. I respond to this issue by exercising or doing something active, anything to blow off a little steam. My family says that I'm pretty patient but I don't feel like I am. But they support me and listen to me when I'm stressed so my temper has gotten better over the past few years

I cannot incite a revolution of the working peoples against the bourgeoisie. I think my parents are content with me not being able to incite a revolution, as our democratic system of government has negated the need for such a revolution.

Thanks for sharing this video, Christi. I think the clip shows the importance of understanding your limitations but also believing that these do not necessarily need to hold you back from what you want to achieve. I know that I have physical limitations, especially when it comes to running. I also know my family would be proud of me for what I have been able to accomplish. Knowing they believe and support me helps to overcome hurdles in my way.

I have trouble staying awake in Biology class. Being the first block of the day means I am almost completely checked out, which means I have to do a lot of studying by myself before tests. If you ask my class or Mrs. Elder, they will all tell you most days I look like I am really tired, which I am. I am not a morning person at all. My loved ones would probably offer solutions that would help mitigate my drowsiness. For one, I know for a fact my mom would tell me to drink coffee, even though she knows I do not like it. They also might tell me to hope that school is pushed back next year, so I can sleep longer.

One thing that scares me the most is not fulfilling my dreams. It has always been a passion of mine to travel the world and experience everything life could possibly offer. If I was not able to accomplish such goals, I don't know what I would do. However, I know my family and loved ones would push me to keep reaching for the stars. They would be proud.
