         <description><![CDATA[<div>-What were you tasked with doing?<br><br>We had to separate the salt from the sand in the beaker of water. We then had to separate the salt from the water, with outpouring the water out.&nbsp;<br><br>-Why did what happen, happen?<br><br>The sand molecules were too big to fit through the hole in the filtration paper, so only the salt and water made it into the second beaker. The salt molecules are left behind because the water molecules evaporated .</div>]]></description>

After the water was filtered, the sand was left in the filter and the water was in the beaker.
