Horses, with the scientific name of Equus caballus, are domesticated one-toed, hoofed mammals, and is one of the 10 family members of Equus. They are commonly found used/ridden for warfare and conquest back then, contributing to the fact that their physical features fit perfectly as a riding animal. Now, however, after playing a central role for tens of thousands of years, they are more commonly found as transportation of travel, in art pieces, and even sports like polo. They have many different variety of breeds and colors in skin, ranging from white, brown, and black.

These species date back to approximately 54 million years, and have continued evolving since then. They have sizes varying depending on their type of typical use, where light riding horses are typically 14–16 hands (1.42–1.63m), larger riding horses are 15.2–17 hands (1.57–1.73m), and heavy or draft horses are usually 16–18 hands (1.63–1.83m). In the wild, horses roam, looking for food and cover distances from 5 to 12 km everyday. Horses are considered a highly social group of animals, meaning that most of them are likely to belong to a group, feeding and avoiding danger as one. Horses belonging in herds get to exercise their sense more frequently, whether it be from smelling others to recognize each other, or using their vision and hearing sense to avoid incoming danger.

Camels are mammals that belong to Kingdom Animalia. It has long legs, a big-lipped snout, and a humped back. Camels are known as one of the most endangered large mammals. According to the Wild Camel Protection Foundation, there are fewer than 1,000 wild camels alive. They only live up to 40 to 50 years.

There are two types of camels, Dromedary camels and Bactrian camels. Dromedary camels, also called Arabian camels, are taller, lighter, and only have one hump. They are found in North Africa and the Middle East. While Bactrian Camels are shorter, heavier, and have two humps. They are found in Central Asia.

Camels live in the desert and they have characteristics that help them to adapt to their habitat. They have a third, clear eyelid and two rows of long lashes that protects their eyes from blowing sand. They can also shut their nostrils during sand storms so sand won't go up in their nose. A camel's hump is like a storage container, it contains stored fat. When they eat and drink again the hump will refill with fat.

Most camels grow bigger than humans. The Bactrian camel is 10 to 11.5 feet long, 5.2 to 5.9 feet tall at shoulder height, and weighs 990 to 1,100 pounds. Meanwhile, the dromedary camel is 7.2 to 11.2 feet long, 5.9 to 6.6 feet tall at shoulder height, and weighs 880 to 1,320 pounds. Camels are herbivores, they do not eat meat. Instead, they are adapted to eating plant materials such as grass, grains, wheat, and oats. Camel's bodies rehydrate faster than any other mammal. This is why water is very important for camels, they can drink up to 30 gallons of water in just 13 minutes.

Camels like to stay together in groups called herds. Their babies are called calves. Camels are often used as a means of transportation in the desert, especially because they are superbly designed for desert conditions. However, they are known for spitting on people when they feel threatened or provoked.
