Learners explored a variety of skills and techniques in different units. The trip to a theatre festival was productive, more than expected. The idea of what theatre can be and can do expanded.

2)Would like to make the guiding questions more precise and simpler so that students writing ePortfolio tasks have absolute clarity and yet are able to provide insightful and meaningful evidences of their learning which are directly connected with the strands. Follow up systems can be more organized and clear for parents as well. Bringing in more details to differentiation in classrooms is something I would like to change. I would like to give more time to each learner in order to become more aware of their individual needs and abilities.

My students are accurate with peer and self assessment. I think this year some of them have truly imbibed aspects of marking rubrics. They are able to apply it well and use it to finetune their responses. I am proud of this.

What will I do to empower children next year?
As I was working on the ATL doc, I realised that there are opportunities of self-management skill that I do not consciously provide for children in my class. I shall work on that. I believe self-management skills help in getting ahold of oneself and enable people to achieve a lot more. But of the 4 students I have in Grade 11 (1 joined much later and I have had little time with her, so not counting her) I am pleased with the ability that 2 have developed in being able to identify what is expected and write to fulfill that expectation. I feel peer marking has helped in this because even the 2 who are still facing issues in writing are able to mark appropriately and identify what is working and what is not.2. What is something you would change about this year if you could?The COVID19 crisis of course! Even as we have adapted to the online space and have rushed into coping, I feel we need to think about its limitations and what it means for education, not just in terms of skill-building but in terms of global awareness, collaboration and empathy. 3. One thing that you will definitely do to empower your students next year !The year looks so uncertain and if I had answered this question before the COVID 19 crisis, I would have said more short creative exercises to enable students to play with their imagination. Successes: seeing student progress and improve was what I am most proud of, and for students to love and enjoy the class. 
2. For me it is a bit shocking to see how many students do not submit their work. At the start of the year I gave a couple of detentions, according to the guidelines, but there was no consistency across, I had meetings and the students ended up in the library doing their own thing, not what a detention should be about. I chased the students around, but there was nothing else I could do, and there are no established guidelines.  Only 7-8 students in average used to submit their formatives. Well there are guidelines, but there is no way of putting them into practice, as I said before, in order for them to work there needs to be consistency across school, and a proper system in place. Because most teachers have meetings during the detention day, students end up in the library playing video games or doing their own thing. Some meetings were arranged with students, with the GLC, but for most cases there was no improvement. For me how easy students take this, is appalling. There is also no protocol for not submitting work during our online lessons, however, I did constantly email students for not showing up to class, and not submitting important work, and in the case of one student, Anshu was very supportive and helped me arrange a meeting. She provided a constant guidance during the online period. Students need to take work more seriously and learn that there are consequences for not following rules.

Submissions - really need to chase and even then some don't submit. In some cases, I have sent emails, but no avail. What I have started is giving short writing pieces - commenting one aspect - in class to do. Also, some children take time to speak up, by then someone else has shared, and then this child feels left out. Some do not pick up the opportunity to contribute to student agency, then feel someone else has got the chance. Need to sort this out.

I am happy to see most of them set goals for themselves asking for guidance for strategies, most worked towards achieving them. Students are now stronger at self assessment and planning for improvement. Microeconomics IAs submissions on time and the targeted syllabus could be covered. Challenges: Students need to be chased for submission of work assigned since they know it will not go into their grades. Monitoring progress and offering immediate intervention has become difficult with online classes. Some students are still not taking ownership of their learning. Plan: I have asked DP1 students to reflect on the year in terms of achievements and challenges to plan the road ahead. I led a workshop for the new curriculum for Lang-Lit for teachers across various international schools in Delhi-NCR. This resulted in an exchange of experiences among teachers in the workshop. It helped me develop new methods and techniques to carry out a smooth transition of the new curriculum in my class. The transition was made further smooth by following the culture of sharing resource material with my students in addition to the prescribed material by IB.

What I want to change?
Due to the current pandemic, I visualize a changing world order where virtual teaching methods would be the norm. Understanding the requirements of my students and presenting them with solutions in a virtual medium would be something I would want to explore, learn, and implement.

What will I do to empower?
Two things I intend to implement asynchronous learning among my students. I would also want to empower them with ethical consciousness that is the bedrock of an ideal learner.

As a form tutor, i was able to create a culture of respect and freedom in class along with my form tutor. As one of the pioneer teachers of IH, I was able to direct the students to the assessment and subject criteria. I am also proud of my CAS group which worked on Women Empowerment. CAS students were empowered to organize events and workshops independently which is an evidence of student- led empowerment - they were able to raise funds close to 15,000/- during Christmas Carnival by selling products made by them, organised online workshops with a lawyer independently, have used social media to leverage their work.

Besides the Covid-19 pandemic to not impair millions, I would have wanted to instil self-discipline to all my MYP students. They were so lackadaisical in their approach towards studies. I have tried many techniques such as punitive measures, threatening them with consequences but, nothing worked for them.

Grade 11 students also at the end of the year, were very motivated and appreciated the efforts as a teacher, I have taken. I am also happy with the way how the substitutions in Middle school has happened

The more collaboration and planning with the same grade teachers, the more rigorous planning on the SDG goals in my teaching.

I think my greater achievement has been the setting up of online feedback sessions - one on one - with all my students. In a way, going virtual has been a good thing from this angle. Students are available after school hours and there is more of a chance to interact with them without them being distracted by their friends. They feel that I am with them whenever they need to talk about something and have been reaching out.

2. What is something you would change about this year if you could?
While many students have been able to transition to taking ownership of their learning, there are others who have used the opportunity to shirk work. This has invariably meant that they have been silent spectators during lessons, and turned in substandard work because they felt that "no one was there". Now that they have the world at their fingertips, they need to be working towards coming into their own as learners.

3. One thing that you will definitely do to empower your students next year !
Scheduling, setting goals, meeting them, reviewing - this is a process that students can learn from each other. I would like to empower them to share their stories with each other so that those who are not able to self-motivate simply because they don't know how, can learn techniques from each other. To that end, I would like to set up student-mentors who look out for their mentees and in turn report progress to me so I may guide them better.

I think it was great to see the passion that I have for reading and writing get transferred to some of my students. Some students have been writing incessantly, seeking feedback- this is even outside of school curricula and I feel this is something life long. Also, to be able to meet deadlines, and understand new responsibilities was a huge task that I was able to accomplish. 
2. So many things. On a personal level, I feel I should be able to give equal attention to my personal and professional life. That didn't quite happen last year. Professionally, I could have explored myriad of other resources- I should challenge myself more with new apps and resources. 
3.
