There will be&nbsp; no rigid separations between arts and sciences<br>2.&nbsp; Multidisciplinary and holistic education.<br>3. 21st century skills will be incorporated&nbsp; in science and other subjects.<br>4.          <description><![CDATA[<div>OBJECTIVES NEP 2020:<br><br></div><div>With the coming of National Education Policy 2020, the approach of Science as a process has been given full importance in the curriculum development. Emphasis is given to Critical Thinking, Problem Solving Activity, Creativity which is the crux of Science. It emphasized the application of Inquiry based, Discovery based and Analysis based learning. The NEP 2020 clearly states the incorporation of experiential learning in all stages. NEP 2020 introduced subjects such as Artificial Intelligence and Design Thinking inducing Critical Thinking, Problem Solving, Creativity, Technological Literacy among the Students. Introduction of Data Science in foundational stage, Coding in middle stage has also been one of the objectives of NEP 2020 in terms of Science. Thus NEP 2020 has given importance to multidisciplinary approach to studying and conceptual learning fostering 21<sup>st</sup> Century Skills. The NEP 2020 also mentioned in its objective that there will be no rigid separation between Arts and Science and Students have the liberty to choose their Subjects.&nbsp;<br><br></div><div>Development in the field of Science as part of NEP 2020- The Indian Institute of Technology Indore in the year 2020 introduced a course titled” Understanding Scientific Texts of India in an Immersive Sanskrit Environment”- a course to impart Science and Mathematics from ancient text in Sanskrit.<br><br></div><div>By Anupriya D Surong<br><br></div><div>Section- A<br><br></div><div>&nbsp;<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>&nbsp;NEP 2020 has brought a multipronged approach with itself, education has become more fluid in terms of subject walls and has a guiding hand on the betterment of the development of 21st century skills in students especially where technology literacy and competency is considered.&nbsp;<br>1. From the very beginning of a child's education they are to have hands on experience to various scientific literacy with the help of play based learning.<br>2.&nbsp; The no bag policy opens practical aspect of learning more as less of classroom monotonous teaching would be done.<br>3. The compilation of resources such as library and auditoriums will allow the the funds direction to&nbsp; different areas such as labs, excursions, field visits.<br>4. The fluidity of the subjects selection at higher levels opens new experiences and information combinations which will change the interface of the industries as we know them and help in getting different perspectives for the students to learn from<br>5.          <description><![CDATA[<ol><li>Extensive use of technology in teaching and learning, removing language barriers, increasing access for Divyang students, and educational planning and management. <strong>Advancement in science and technology </strong>has become an important determinant in India’s transformation into a self-reliant global leader.</li><li>It is also proposed that<strong> coding</strong> be introduced in school curriculums as an important skill that students must develop. The policy also notes that<strong> technology </strong>can be an effective tool in facilitating teacher education and encourages the utilisation of technology platforms for online teacher-training.</li><li><strong>Adapting to AI</strong>: The policy recognises challenges arising on account of the widespread use of artificial intelligence and highlights the need to adopt changes occurring on account of <strong>increased use of AI across sectors.</strong></li><li>no hard separations between arts and sciences, between curricular and extra-curricular activities, between vocational and academic streams, etc. in order to eliminate harmful hierarchies among, and silos between different areas of learning.</li><li><strong>Multidisciplinary and a holistic education across the sciences</strong>, social sciences, arts, humanities, and sports for a multidisciplinary world in order to ensure the unity and integrity of all knowledge.</li><li>creativity and critical thinking to encourage <strong>logical decision-making and innovation.</strong> The foundation of innovation will be built through the creative efforts of our youth and children, and we must inculcate a <strong>scientific and innovative temperament</strong> in them.</li><li>A university will mean a multidisciplinary institution of higher learning that offers undergraduate and graduate Programmes, with high quality teaching, research, and community engagement.
