However, to be very honest there were days that i was unproductive because it gets pretty tiring and restless to face my laptop and sit on the same spot everyday. It is like a staring contest with my laptop...But i would say that it is somehow enriching because i always find out alternative ideas to make my experience working MUCH more enjoyable. (initiatives and experimentation of my preferred working styles)

Honestly, all in all, I gained knew knowledge about the social service sector through this internship in collaboration with YCCI. I never had this experience giving back to the community before hence it was extremely rewarding. Also improved in my casework, and I think I learnt how to interact with quite different youth demographics.

Also I wished I wasn't under the YCCI scheme because I don't like the forced volunteering and forced attendance for trainings. I feel that they shouldn't have made this compulsory, and then put it on themselves to make interesting trainings that we will actually want to turn up for. At least they expanded the volunteering opportunities to SG Cares and I managed to find more interesting volunteering opportunities.

And for this sessions, I have to teach senior citizens how to navigate on their phones, download apps etc.. Even though the target audience of this volunteering session and my internship (youth) is different, i gained skills that can help both parts.

I want to contribute to the social service sector more. Even if its not my job, volunteering could be fine too. Because i find joy in giving and helping others. It is really so empowering and boosts my self-esteem. 

But based on my internship, I have been managing social media, in terms of creating branding collaterals, replying to DMs by partners and audiences, and many more. I was also able to gain more insights about analysing data from social media reports that I had to generate. I feel that i am super immersed in this aspect so i might be pursuing this as a future career

2. I learnt how to manage communications and reach out to partners. Which is literally my designation "comms and partnerships intern" . Things I achieved includes

- Curating emails
- Creating branding collaterals
- Manage film lists and contact database 
- Basic video editing
- Find ways to increase outreach and engagement of youth on socmed
