In this part of this play Macbeth just killed Duncan and he has run back through the hallways with 2 bloody daggers. Lady Macbeth then run back in with blood stained on her saying that it would be a shame for her to have a heart that was a pale as Macbeth's face.
  • Analyze this passage from the Feminist perspective. 
From a feminist perspective they would see this quote as lady Macbeth insulting Macbeth and trying to gain more power in this situation. This is because a female in the world of Macbeth she has little power so her using and manipulating Macbeth is way to gain more power and more control over the whole situation.

In the text, masculinity is made up of being powerful and authority figures. Lots of the female roles in the play scorn male power and try to find ways to get around it.

2.What are the power relationships between men and woman?
In Macbeth, the men who are soldiers are praised and given power for the murders they commit. Therefore, women in the play, and in the society Macbeth is taking place in, feel powerless so they begin to persuade men to take care of their murderous desires.
