1.     Select a type of Quest, (or one will be assigned to your group) (Problem-Based, Document/Writing-Based, or Discussion) in your Teacher’s Edition and read the TE guidance for the three sections (Quest Kick Off, Quest Connections, and Quest Findings).

2.     Explore the support materials for that Quest on Savvas Realize (rubrics).

3.     Explore some of the activities on Savvas Realize and in the Student Active Journals for each section. Note the type of skills being used.

4.     Determine whether the Quest Kick Off, Quest Connections, and Quest Findings activities are best completed as a teacher-directed, whole-class activity; a small-group/center activity; an individually assigned activity; or perhaps a combination. The key to this activity is documenting evidence that supports whyyour group made the recommendation.

5.     Did any of the skills from the various activities align to the instructional shifts?

6.      Prepare to discuss an overview of your findings.
