Then there was a rebellion because of the uprising in taxes. The rebellion failed but it made the people realize that they should do something about it so the Constitution was created.

overturning a jury's findings of fact.
8th – Prohibits “cruel and unusual punishment.”
10th – Establishes that any powers not given to the Federal govt. belong to the States or
the people.
13th -- Ends slavery.
14th – Citizenship, due process, equal protection under the
Bill of Rights.
15th – No denial of vote because of race or color.
18th – Prohibition of alcohol.
19th – Women’s suffrage.
21st – Repeal of prohibition.
22nd – Limit on presidential
tenure.
26th – Voting age to 18.
