As often as possible, I tried to maintain inquiry and task-based learning with asynchronous lessons. It wasn't perfect, but I'm hoping to continue to make that a feature of my lessons.

I was proud of how I transferred some of my work from brick and mortar for student feedback to help students revise their work, improve, and understand the topics better.

Growth Area: Collaboration. Almost all of my work was procedural and independent during distance learning. I believe math is best done with friends, around a board (or at least a screen), while we're talking. I'm hoping to emulate my best math experiences with my students this year.

The picture really resonates with me because, in all honesty, I felt like a failure most of the time during distance learning. I was being told all of these great things I could be doing to support students... and felt I was doing none of them.
