         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li>Heard tales of riches in the Andes Mountains in Peru which was the Inca empire</li><li>He helped lead several expeditions in search of that empire with de Almagro, and de Luque</li><li>In 1524 and 1526 both expeditions failed</li><li>In 1528 Pizarro returned to Spain to get support from the kings and they agreed</li><li>In 1530 he set out with Hernando de Soto through the system of Inca roads and bridges</li><li>He founded the city of Lima and he called this city Ciudad de los Reyes (City of Kings)</li></ul><div><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li>People of Panama did not think that Pizarro would succeed in conquering the Inca empire</li><li>The Inca leader Atahualpa was expecting an attack so he met Pizarro with a large army. Francisco retreated but lead a surprise attack the next day</li><li>Pizarro captured the Inca leader and other hostages and demanded a large ransom</li><li>He received thousands of pounds of gold and silver but then he killed the hostages anyway</li><li>The Inca empire collapsed and Spain became the richest and most powerful nation&nbsp;</li><li>Spanish fought among themselves for the gold and riches &nbsp;</li></ul>]]></description>
