The health there is pretty good as well, most people there have health insurance. The status of women is good. In the past, Dutch planters started a very good plantation with many types of resources. The plantation production went down but then later the Netherlands helped out Suriname by providing development aid. Soon after the support from the Netherlands, Suriname started to become it's own government. Suriname long ago, had many cultures, races, and other types of people coming in and Suriname. Because of this flourishing country, people never had to have much kids.
