1. "The first drill was a marathon.  Well, not exactly a marathon.  We had to run one hundred laps around the gym.  So forty of us ran.  And thirty-six of us finished" (Alexie, 138). 
2. I chose this song because it sets the scene for competition, and the mood is very on edge, so I thought it matched well. 
3. The mood this creates is  feeling like you are on edge, about to know whether you will win or lose.

2. Lazuli by Beach house, I chose this song because if I were painting a picture in my head of this scene, I would imagine as Junior said those words this song would fade in and start playing and ending the Chapter. 

3. I thought these words were the perfect way to conclude the Chapter. Even though Juniors plans at his Basketball game went very south for him, these words seem to sound like he's satisfied with how his day panned out anyways. 

4. I think the Author achieves this with having Junior not reflect on the entire day but the positive end it had with his Coach.

3. This kinda fits perfectly with the situation of when he was in bc everyone like stares at him like what is he doing here. Even when Rowdy turned around was like a beat drop to a whole other situation.

2.I chose this song because the tone fits. The tone of the music is depressed and and little hopeless and the some of the lyrics kind of make it to  seem like the singer is trying to get down on himself and that he is no good, but some lyrics don't work but it was the only song I could find that seems to match the tone almost perfectly.

3. The mood this creates is that of hopelessness and also condesending like you are no good and you will fail.

4. The author does this decently by saying that he wasn't going to try to make it on the basketball team because he didn't think he was good enough to even make it on the c squad which is the lowest skill squad and the tone thru most of it was that of hopelessness.

3. The song is about people who dont like how he sings, raps, and acts like a black man whcih the media doesnt like, kinda like how Junior is going to a white school and they think he is betraying them and acting white like their nickname for him "apple", and it is meant to make you mad and angry and support him 

4. Junior talks about how his Coach hypes up him and tells Junior to get angry and then they get angry and play, he uses stuff like "And as I ran onto the court, somebody in the crowd threw a quarter at me. AND HIT MEIN THE FRICKING FOREHEAD!" to gain sympathy

2. I chose Eye of the tiger by Survivor because I feel like during that moment that Junior told Eugene to stitch him up, Junior sort of had this hope and belief that him and his team cloud do it and win. As well adrenaline probably running through his veins
3.As for the song I think that the beat and just guitar go really well with the tone during that moment of hope and adrenaline. Also the lyrics are really like motivational and just really makes you wanna accomplish your goals which is exactly what Junior trying to go here.

I chose this song because Junior is in no position to continue the game, But he has determination and passion to continue the game. The toon and mood of the song is soft and gentle but passionate and fierce. Alexie had the same mood whit junior by using sentence structure, his sentences were short and choppy, but for me those words hit hard and I understood them.

3.When they said those things they weren't believing in themselves and this song seems like she doesn't believe she deserves to be forgiven and I think that makes a connection I'm pretty sure.

3)i think the song compliments with the quote because the title itself goes along with how junior was feeling but the melody and beat of the song makes you feel energetic and happy. 
4)Alexie illustrates the exciting/energetic feeling with using a metaphor Alexie says Junior is a 'warrior' to exaggerate the thrill and excitement junior was feeling in the moment and give the readers an idea of how confident Junior was.
