I planned activities that I can apply to my Intermediate Portuguese class. 
My intention is to talk about an issue that is related to real-life and raise critical thinking among them.  
Vocabulary acquisition and use are aimed at each step and hopefully, they will be able to speak and write about their own lifestyle and health at the end of the unit.

In English we say "me too" or "I do too", or "So do I" when we want to express that we share an opinion or activity with someone else.  In Spanish certain verbs that require indirect objects are translated into English with Subject-Verb structure.  For example, Me gusta cantar.  We express this in English as "I like to sing", where the experiencer is the subject of the verb, but the literal structure in Spanish is, "To sing pleases/is pleasing to me".  So, lots of students will express the "Me too" idea with the Subject-Verb structure of "Yo también" instead of "A mí también", which reflects the experiencer as indirect object.  The first of a series of videos I hope to create on the topic is above. Here's one of my dialectology videos, redone in Playposit with in-video questions. If anyone's wondering why I don't have sound file examples in the PowerPoint I use, it's because I keep them separate in the learning materials section of the module for ease of use by students. That way they can fast-forward to different parts of a video instead of me embedding an entire video in a video I make.
