         <description><![CDATA[<div>Goal- The goal of this mini lesson is to introduce/revisit the concept of rhyming words.<br>The teacher takes the focus of the children back to the story that they have been reading for the past two days. She tells them that she observed something special about the way the story was written. She tells them that the story is written using rhyming words. Then she reads out a few examples and asks the students to clap when they hear rhyming words. The responses are recorded on an anchor chart.<br>Students respond with the specified action when they hear rhyming words.<br>She explains what rhyming words are, gives a few more examples and then pairs them off to discuss a few more examples.<br>Once recalled from the pair share, more rhyming words will be added to the anchor chart.<br>She sends them off to independent reading with instructions to highlight rhyming words.</div>]]></description>
